How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
This financial support has enabled me acquire a cow that will help me address any need that will arise unlike before when I didn't have anything asset to look up to incase of any problem. In addition, I bought construction materials that I am planning to use for constructing a bigger house for my family members. I intend to start with the construction immediately when the dry season starts.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to give me cash that I spent to purchase a cow and construction materials. GiveDirectly has not done anything bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer to purchase a cow, 2 piglets, chicken, foodstuffs, water drum, utensils, funeral, education, paid for weeding and transport.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life has changed a lot in that I live a stress free life now since I have managed to secure construction materials, Utensils and I'm currently planning on acquiring beddings which are worn out and too old. Prior to receiving this money, I lived a stressful life because I did not have presentable utensils to serve my guests whenever I had them visit me. Lastly I currently sleep on very old and worn out beddings which need changing and I thank GD and her donors for uplifting my standards of living.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received this transfer, I was overwhelmed with happiness because I was among a few who received transfer later after other recipients had received theirs. Therefore it was unbelievable because I thought I was ineligible for GiveDirectly cash transfer program.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought building materials like sand, bricks, gravel and cement, I also spent some money on household items especially utensils and I'm planning to buy beddings too because I have been lacking them. I have saved some money to kickstart construction project.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means more farming. I will engage intensively on rearing animals and growing crops that will support my household in form of income generating activity.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy in the evening. The happiness comes because, at that time, I would have finshed having super and I would be reflecting on the day's struggles while thanking God for the day's providence and guidance.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Inadequate food is my biggest challenge. I can not afford four meals a day as it is supposed to be for a normal healthy life. This is because I stay with grand children that I can not support hence making it difficult to sustain the household.
