What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on paying school fee for a daughter and a son who were both in secondary school. I am so happy that the children got chances to join form one, courtesy of GiveDirectly. I also finished the construction of the pit latrine that I had began constructing using my second transfer.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received any transfer in that, I have acquired a permanent pit latrine that only the lucky few such as politicians, own in the community.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has worked so well in ensuring that money is spent at the planned time without any delays.

I spent my second transfer to buy building materials like iron sheets and bricks which I am using to build a pit latrine in my compound.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my family can now afford to buy food without hustling too much and this makes me very happy

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I would like to use the transfer on renovating my house. The walls are cracking and not in a good state.Secondly,l would like to use the transfer on building a latrine for my family. Lastly,l would like to use the remaining amount on starting a second hand clothes business.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My biggest achievement is that l own some sheep. l used to . I sell rice in Ahero town and managed to do some savings and bought them.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship in my life is making ends meet. l don't have enough money to buy food for my family. The main reason is unpredictable weather conditions and lack of enough money to do constructive farming.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is at night after a day's work.l look forward to having a peaceful night.
