I used my last transfer to install electricity and paid the electricians to do the wiring, before installing I used paraffin as fuel for lighting which was expensive and sometimes it was not available, the electricity has helped me in lighting and I have saved, I also bought 2 goats I chose goats because they give birth very fast so in days of emergency I will sell them and sort out the situation at hand. During this time my wife was also going to labor so this transfer helped me to help my wife have a safe delivery at that time doctor were on strike so we had to call a doctor from his home, paid him and also paid for his transport for him to be able to help us out. The remaining amount I used to buy seats for the house so that our guest would find somewhere to seat when they visit and also some baby stuff.

I used a total of 19000 KES from my second transfer to install electricity in our home; since buying paraffin daily was expensive and tedious. I also bought bedding and sofa set since I did not have proper bedding and seats before. The balance was spent on buying cloths for my family and buying dry maize for food since the last harvest was poor owing to drought.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now have electricity in the home, thus we feel safe since our compound is lit in the night and we also don't spend any more money on buying paraffin.

I spent my first transfer on clearing 2,000 KES school fees arrears for my brother to sit for his final primary examination,bought a mattress at 4,000 KES because the one we had was worn out and very thin so we needed one that was more comfortable,bought a bicycle at 2,500 KES to facilitate our movement to and from the market place and water point which are far away fro home.I also used the remaining money on food.

I am planning to spend my upcoming transfer on buying cows that i will take as bride price to my wife's home and use the remaining money on school fees for my brother who was left under my care and is set to join secondary school come next year.
