How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My old building project still continues, My first transfer was used to buy zinc and other items for my house. Due to the size of the house I want to build, I decided to buy additional zinc with my second transfer, cement, nails and other building items, I also intend to keep portion of the money for workmanship.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
This transfer came just the time we were in great need of money to change the roof of our house. So when I received the alert, the excitement and joy we felt as a family cannot be underestimated. The whole house was laterally on fire with jubilation. We almost danced the whole night. This money has brought so much relieved to my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, my daily life and that of family has changed for the better. For the passed rainy months, we have been living in total sadness because the roof of our house was leaking badly to the extent that we could preferred sitting outside of the house than inside the house when ever its rains. The whole house would get soak with all our belongings. This caused us serious embarrassment for so long, now with this transfer, we bought zinc, nail, planks and others roofing materials to change the roof from the old thatched and leaking roof to a zinc and better roof. We now go to bed as a happy family not worrying about the roof anymore. For this reason we are grateful to Give Directly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
For the passed months, the roof of my house has been leaking badly to the extent that when ever its rains, we could preferred sitting outside of the house than inside. For this reason my children always suffer from cold doing the rainy season. With this money I was able to buy zinc, nails, planks and other roofing materials to completely change the entire roof of our house that which is our major priority and goal for now. Thanks to Give Directly people for putting smile on the faces of my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
In 2012, my husband and I had a plan to work, save money to build our house to a better one. Unfortunately for us, he saw a chemical in a bottle and he mistakenly took it as a liquor and drank it. We spent all of our little earnings to save his life. He spent more than a month in Montovia under going medical treatment. Since then, He can't do much physical work. Things are so difficult for us. The house we live in as you can see is leaking. We have to sit up all through the night when it is raining. If we are blessed to receive this money and is enough, we are going to renovate our house. My daughter too is out of school. Since her school closed, I have not been able to get her report card because it costs money. Once we receive this money, part of it will go towards her school and I'll try to restart my business that broke down.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The only happy moment so far this year is the presence of Give Dorectly in my town. At least it has given me some hope even though the money has not come yet.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major challenge is money. Because of lack of money my daughter is out of school and we are living in a leaking building. My husband can not do much physical work so to even get food is hard for use. I was doing mini business to help with food but it has collapsed because there was no means of sustaining it.
