How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now in a way that I can now afford things I could not before GD. I will be travelling to South Africa now to look for a green pasture and I could not afford this trip if it was not for GD. I also can afford everyday food for my family which was never the case and we are thankful to GD.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly does well in giving people money to rescue them from poverty. This money helps to solve individual household problems and improve accessibility of basic household needs.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on passport and paying a transporter whom am travelling with to South Africa. The remaining money was spent on 2 bags of fertilizer and 7 bags of maize.
