How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I'm so proud that I sleep well in a iron roofed house which doesn't leak. Prior to receiving this money, I used to sleep in a ramshackle house that leaked whenever it rained. I used to get up at night to take refuge from one conor of the house until rain stopped. Secondly I was able to cleared my debt that enabled me claim ownership of my land therefore I have where to farm compared to the past where I had limited land to cultivate. Lastly I live a happy life because GiveDirectly has transformed my life positively through their transfers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my view, GiveDirectly did a wonderful job to send transfers which have liberated me from poverty. There wasn't anyway I could raise money to achieve what I have now. On the other side there's nothing wrong done by GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I paid debts for both land and medical bills. I also bought household items that I lacked in my household.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am almost finishing with the construction of my iron roofed house, just left with fitting the door and windows. When I shift to my new house, I expecting to have peaceful night sleep, no more interference with the leak roof of my current hut. Before receiving this transfer, I didn't have enough money to buy building materials. The yields that I always got from farming are very low because we have a small piece of land, so I couldn't sell the produce to buy building materials.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money from GiveDirectly, I became very happy because I knew that I would attained my plan of constructing an iron roofed house.

I spent my first transfer to purchase construction materials(bricks, timber, irons, windows, door, nails) and paid construction workers. Furthermore, I bought utensils, food for the constructors and family members.
