How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I was and still a farmer but by God's power snd the help of GIVE DIRECTLY my new goal now is to buy more seeds to plant on my farm, build my house and pay my grandchild tuition.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own view Give Directly do well because through them I am now in the position to build a place of my own.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My recent transfer will actually be spend on zinc, nails and plank to build my house, and pay school fees.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"My husband died two years ago, and I have been struggling taking care of my old age mother. My house is falling apart. Making farm alone as a female has also become a challenge. Therefore, upon receiving this cash, I will firstly build a new house, hire labourers to help me make my farm and I will also start a small business. With these things in place, I can assure you that I will have a new life and I will be completely relaxed!"
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Almost all of my children live distance away from me. I speak to them via phone and it's not often. Fortunately, during the festive season, two of my children who I had not seen in two years visited me! That alone brought me joy. To add up to that, they brought me some really expensive gifts. I'll always cherish the time we had catching up."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"Two years ago, while in the process of constructing our new home, my husband died. Right now, my house is almost falling apart. I'm challenged physically and financially. I'm no longer young and strong as before so, I'm limited with my movements and in fending for myself. Therefore, my major challenge is having a decent shelter over my head."
