How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now because am stress free having taken all my children to school in time. The generator we bought is doing grate work in irrigating our crops. Even in this dry season we were able to harvest tomatoes that we sold to get some income. Besides, I can hire it to other community members. This has benefited me and the village members at large. The issue of fees could bother me and I used to suffer from ulcers because of overthinking.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly did well to give me money that has relieved me from the burdens that I had. The staff at all stages of their work speak to us clearly and with humility. I do not have any thing against them.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer for paying school fees for my five children. I paid a bribe of UGX 300, 000 for my son to get a government job.
