How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has improved because through these cash transfers, I have built a three roomed permanent upto ring beam level. I have also sold some of my cows to help me complete to build it since the transfer was not enough. However, I'm sure of soon sleeping in a spacious permanent because the one I'm occupying now is too small for us.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money to build a spacious permanent house. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I purchased building materials ( iron sheets, timber and 4 bags of cement ), paid labour and bought food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life's biggest difference is knowing that I will soon be able to expand my small house. This is because it will now give room for a lot of things such as a store my farm harvest, children sleeping differently according to gender and I having my own privacy from my children.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt so happy because given any circumstance, would never ever have got this kind of money.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer Ugx 1015000 to buy some building materials such as two trips of bricks, sand, ten bags of cement, and transportation. I then bought some house hold items such as source pans, food, and clothes. I then lent Ugx 100000 to my daughter for her personal needs. I am saving up Ugx 450000 that I plan to start using when the construction work begins.
