How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life would have been hard if I did not receive the transfers because I did not have a nice house and enough food. These transfers have helped me achieve some of the things that I have always wanted.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The GiveDirectly staff did a very good job in our village. They did not give us any problems and they were very reapectful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have cashed out the transfers but I have not yet used the money. I want to use the money to build a house so that I can live comfortably especially during rainy season.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i saw a notification message that i have received money from Givedirectly i was very happy because i knew that i will be able to buy most of the things that i lacked in my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Me and my family's everyday life has improved so much because my children are going to school in a school Uniform and with the full stomachs.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
She is planning to buy goats so that she can use manure for farming and partly to sell the goats when they multiply. The money will also be used to buy food as she strugles to find food because her husband stays in south africa
What is the happiest part of your day?
I would say during the mid day because that is the time i seat down to eat. The whole of the morning am up and down trying to find food
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I face hardships everyday as i have now become a breadwiner since my husband left for south africa.it is not simple for me to find food
