Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am able to purchase basic household items like salt and soap without much hustle. In the past, I had to carry out casual labour so as to afford basic necessities.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I received the cash transfer on the 7th-August at 03:00am. At thatv moment, I called on one of the children to read the message for me. I was happy because this was a one time miracle for the family. I had never received such an amount of money from anyone known to me.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 1000000 of the first cash transfer to start up a retail shop and UGX 700000 will be spent on paying school fees.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means acquiring all the necessary household items that have not been adequate like utensils, beddings, curtains, to mention. I have some of those items but they are not enough. It also means paying school fees for my children. I have been having challenges paying tuition for my children because the little salary that my spouse gets is not enough hence their school attendance has been irregular.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is during lunch time when I am done with garden work. I now come home, prepare lunch for my children/household members and share a meal with them. It's hectic to do garden work and I only relux when I am at home preparing lunch.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is inability to pay my children's school fees in time. My spouse gets salary from his employment but it is not adequate enough. This has affected my children's performance in class hence poor grades.
