How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have achieved what i wanted before the transfers. I have built a good house, i have enough food; my life has improved for the better and am happy.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The transfers from give directly has changed my life completely for better than before. I have achieved what i have never expected to achieve in this life time. Am sleeping in a better roofed house, am eating 3 times a day, things are good in general. GD is doing a recommendable job and i can't complain about anything.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Much of the money has been spent on building my house. I have bought 12 pieces of construction wood (4500 kwacha each). I paid the builders 40, 000 kwacha. In addition, i have also bought one of bag fertilizer at 30000 kwacha and also 4 bags of maize at 10000 kwacha.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money has meant happiness to my family , and I plan to buy food for my family which most of the time is a challenge to find, building good a house as well and buying clothes and kitchen utensils.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Am the happiest in the morning because I look forward to another day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
One of the biggest challenge I have faced was Last year I used to get up at 3am to pluck firewood and I used to cover alot of distance because I would arrive home at 12noon, I sell the firewood along the and I could not have even make alot of money to feed my family and since I spent most of my time trying to find more money I never properly took care of my family.
