How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am Modima Yanquoi from Gbangba town, Bomi County Liberia. Since I started receiving cash transfer from Givedirectly, I decided build my house buy mattress, and continue payment of my kids school fees.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly is committed to the Job they do and they don't accept gift from people. Their staff have great interaction skill and very respectful. They aways follow up to ensure that I receive cash transfer. I am very proud of this organization for being trustworthy. Since Givedirectly program came to this village, I have not heard of anything that Givedirectly didn't do well. I am so thankful to those that contributed in transforming my life from zero to hero.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I cash out my money, I bought two bundles of zinc, and did payment of my kids balance school fees for the semester.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to build my own house and complete it well, I am currently living in one of my relatives house because I didn't had any money to build a house on my own. With this help from GiveDirectly, I know that I can surely achieve my goal. When I have achieved this goal of building my house, I have also planned of buying a land in the cityl, that is why I am doing my best to improve my farm so that I can generate more money from my harvest this year.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by being fair in their processes, that is, they are not helping base on religion or tribal groups, they are also truthful in giving informations, they are kind in talking to us during the time of interview. I have not seen anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well, all their processes are okay to me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was able to buy most of the building materials needed to start my house project, I also paid some of my daughter school fees, I used part of the money to improve my farm so that I can have a better harvest this year, the balance was used to buy food for my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Yanquoi, I was very happy when I get the message saying that I have received transfer amount of $40,375.00 form Give Directly. This is the first time in my entire to see such of NGO that so transference in their processes.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before Give Directly came, things were very difficult for me and my family. I was working very hard in our bushes hunting and farming just to get food for my family. But now I'm relax, I am not working like before. I can now hair people to do my work and easily find food for my children.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I'm so grateful for this transfer. I was able to buy Zinc, a brand new mattress and radio and food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to receive the transfer, I want to build a house for my children and I because I don't have a house, presently we are staying in someone's house and if the money is enough, I will use some to register my children for school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I was very happy last month when I called my children in Tubmanburg and they told me that they were all promoted to their next level respectively.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am currently facing financial challenge, I have to clean someone's farm and burn woods before I have money for food and school fees.
