How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The difference in my life in the last four months is that food has never been a problem in my house as it was the case before the transfers. We have always had plenty to eat since I do use part of my monthly transfers to buy food in bulk and other basic household items. This has been very helpful since in the middle of the month I have to spend very little to feed the family.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to plaster the kitchen I built with part of the transfers. I live in a swampy area and I fear if I do not act fast, very soon the kitchen will be no more. This has been the case in my area and after the struggles, I have gone through, I would not allow the kitchen to collapse before it serves its purpose. This is why I wish to plaster it as soon as possible.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In my family, we having been struggling for a defined cooking place. This is because we did not have a kitchen and our house was not big enough to cater for a cooking place. During the rainy seasons, we would be forced to either cook very early in the day before the rains and end up eating cold food. This was not something my family really enjoyed and they used to complain about it. We started thinking about building a kitchen so that we do not struggle anymore. Due to my low income from farming, I was not able to raise money to build it on my own. With GD transfers, I was able to buy building materials such as iron sheets, timber and nails which I used to put up a kitchen. I do not feel the burden anymore as it was before the transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, my life will change in that I will have tomato plantation which has been my dream for two years now. In my area, there is shortage of tomatoes for small groceries and I want to use this opportunity and resources from GD to start a tomato plantation which I will sell and raise money to meet my needs.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
With the drought and famine that we experience since the beginning of this year, most of my transfers were spent on household needs and foodstuff which left no room for investments on any life-changing activities or items.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I want to lease an extra portion of land to farm in the next farming season which I know will be possible with the help of these transfers. With the help of these transfers, I know I will be able to raise enough money to lease the farm, buy hybrid seeds and hire labourers to assist in the farm. This decision is fueled by the need to make up for this season's terrible output due to insufficient rains which have been very inconsistent lately making it hard to know the best time to plant.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Receiving these transfers have made it possible for my family to feed well even in the drought and famine that were experienced in our region in the past six months. We were are able to afford decent meals during that tough period which would have been tough without the transfers. Lack of a stable income would have made it hard for us to have three square meals a day due to the increase in prices of basic commodities such as maize flour, but with the transfers, we were able to achieve that.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My farms have not produced much this season due to the insufficient rains and warms that affected the farms. My hope is to have a better harvest in the next planting season to sustain my family in the next year because we will no longer have the transfer to support us and I know that life will be tough.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have two children in high school and paying the school fees has not been so easy due to my low income. Currently, I have no stress with the school fees payment as they also receive these transfers which they use to make the payments.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am currently living in a mud house which requires a lot of effort to maintain as it easily gets ruined during the rainy season. To change this, I would like to plaster the entire house to make it more durable. I will save my transfers for the next months and combine with some of the savings I have been able to make in the last few months to enable me purchase the necessary materials. This will also improve our living standards as we will be living in a cleaner environment with no dust that is currently causing us a tone of health problems.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
A while back, I was the sole provider of my family and this was quite strenuous on my side. Because three other members of my family are also receiving these transfers, a huge burden has been taken off my shoulder as they now use part of their monthly transfers to pay their own school fees and other household requirements. I am now able to make some savings from my job which was very impossible in the past because of huge family responsibilities.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope that in the next six months, I will have completed plastering my house and my family will be living in a better environment. I also hope to see an improvement in my family's health since the dust that is constantly causing us problems will be history.
