What does receiving this money mean to you?
I thank God a lot for this support. Receiving this money means that we shall have (buy) our own cow. Accordingly, we shall have a reliable source of milk for household consuption and some income from the sale of surplus.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is at the afternoon when I have successfully completed my day's activities. This gives me a sense of responsibility as a parent.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
About five years ago, we secured a loan of nearly KSh. 200, 000 for a local financial institution called Pioneer. Unfortunately, we could not manage to repay the loan on time. Subsequently, the firm took virtually everything that we had; 70 birds, 5 cattle and 7 goats. Hence, I feel that as the biggest hardship we have faced because we have not regained the same.
