Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so much happy the moment I received money from GiveDirectly. I lived in so much denial thinking that something could happen and prevent me from receiving this transfer. On receiving the money, I purposed to accomplish all the plans that I had and which I have since done so.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the cow that I was able to buy with this transfer. Very soon I will no longer have to buy milk like I have always bought and this will will enable me to save up money that would otherwise have been used to buy the milk. Once the dairy cow that I bought starts producing milk then we will be able to sell the surplus to make additional income that will see us meet other expenses of the family's needs.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent most of my first transfer to buy a dairy cow and used the remaining amount to improve my house from a cemented floor to that which is made of tiles. I made a decision to buy the dairy cow since the one that I currently own is producing very little milk that is hardly enough to feed the family. With this dairy cow that we now have, then we can be able to raise enough money to buy other basic needs for the family as much as we have enough to feed the family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
As the bible says the Lord shall give back what the locusts had eaten, receiving this money is an opportunity for me to reclaim what I sold for my children's education. I am planning to use $400 of my first transfer to buy a dairy cow as source of income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Dairy farming is my main source of income. My typical day involves feeding my cows and looking after them till evening. Evening is when I take a rest, watch TV and spend some time with our Kalenjin hymn book singing to my favorite hymns.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My husband, a teacher in a local primary school and our family breadwinner fall into a pit last year and fractured his left limb and stayed home for six months. Fending for him took much of my time and family resources thus subjecting us to poverty.
