I spent my transfer on completing my house and bought one goat.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I was living in extreme poverty but GiveDirectly has delivered me through their transfers. Therefore, GD did well to send me money. I haven't seen anything wrong done by GiveDirectly.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has tremendously transformed from sleeping in a ramshackle grass thatched house to a iron roofed one. Previously, I used to live worryingly especially during rainy season. Whenever it rained, everything in the house got damaged from food stuffs to beddings. Ever since I occupied my house, I no longer worry of rain and I have peaceful nights.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I plan to spend my first transfer Ugx 1700000 to build a permanent iron roofed house. However, I have only bought some bricks and halted the rest of the work as the rainy season seem to have started since transporting building materials and building at such a time is a little challenging.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt so happy to the fact that I would be in position to build my iron roofed house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Since I plan to build a permanent iron roofed house, this has made me feel so happy because I will move from the currently leaking grass thatched house when it rains to the safe one when completed. Hence, making my daily life biggest difference as I will be relieved from the burden of buying grass and renovating the grass thatched house yearly.
