What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have saved my money but I will use it to build a house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD has done well to send me money. I have been farming for a very long time and I have never earned this kind of money before. There is nothing wrong done by GD.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I'm very happy now because I have found a spouse that I will soon marry since I have already bought dowry using the transfers. Secondly, I have saved my last transfer which I will spend in constructing a house once I'm done with marrying my wife. Lastly, I never owned a phone of my own but I thank GD for issuing me with a phone that enabled receive my transfers and communicate effectively with my loved ones. Prior to getting these money, I did not have dowry to marry a wife and I lived a low self-esteem life since people under looked at me that I was aging with a spouse.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first cash transfer to purchase a cow worth UGX 350000. I have given my brother UGX 300000 to treat himself. I am planning to spend the rest of the cash transfer to purchase more cows so that I can marry a wife.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the cash transfer message was my only happiest day. Sincerely speaking, I was very happy because this would be a starting point for me to search for a wife. I have been so lonely for long because I did not have money for dowry.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life is much different in that GiveDirectly gave me a mobile phone which I did not have before. This has made communication between me and other relatives very possible. More so, I have always stayed alone. However, with the cash transfer I look forward to purchasing more cows so that I can marry a wife.
