How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, my new plan is to buy one lot of land in Monrovia. I'm saving about 70% of my transfer for every payment and to do a business.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own believe, GiveDirectly has done so much good things for us. I will forever remember GiveDirectly in my life.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My friends received their money long before I did; I was worried that I wouldn't benefit. It was just yesterday I decided to check my account again and there my money was. I was too happy. I glorified God and also thanked Givedirectly for making me apart of this wonderful program. All my worries disappeared when I saw the money in my account. I am so grateful to Givedirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I was struggling with my business before Givedirectly's money, but the change in my life is that I am about to ascend to a higher level in my business without any struggle. This alone brings me so much peace each day.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I've planned to use my first transfer to add my business up. I will buy two bags of flour and one bag of sugar, along with additional baking materials which will help me increase my pastry business. I have decided to buy few food items for my upkeep as well.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"When I receive this money, I will establish charcoal trading business with it. Charcoal business is the most profitable business in this region. For instance, charcoal is sold here for L$300 (US$1.76) per bag. It is transported to Monrovia @ L250 (US$1.47) per bag. It is then sold in Monrovia for L$800 (US$4.70) per bag. There is therefore US$1.47 profit on every bag of charcoal purchased in Suehn/Mecca and sold in Monrovia.
This business will generate enough money to handle other such paramount things as school fees, food, etc."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"The thing that brought me happiness in the last six months is the fact that my mother have fully recovered from a liver disorder she was diagnosed with. My mother was diagnosed with a liver problem and told that she will require surgery. However, her treatment at Mallah Clinic in Monrovia proved otherwise. Her recent medical report shows that she have fully recovered and that makes me happy."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The most pressing challenge I am currently faced with is to sustain the supply of my daughter's medical needs. My two years old daughter was diagnosed with asthma. I have spent almost everything I earn on her medications.
I'm currently unemployed. I don't have a husband to help me with the daily provisions for the family.
Due to these and other challenges, I often serve herbal treatments in place of the prescription."
