How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been able to buy new personal items for my children and I over the past few months. This is because we were not engaging in any serious development project during those months. This allowed me to spend most of my transfers in these personal items that have now greatly changed our lives. We now have decent and proper clothes and shoes that we can wear to church and any other functions without feeling ashamed.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
We have agreed to save our transfers from this month till the end of the project so that we can raise enough money to buy a cow. So far, we have managed to do quite a lot with our transfers including building a new house. Now that we know we are going to be receiving the transfers for just a few more months, we want to save and invest in something that will have a great return one day, hence the decision to save and buy a cow.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Having no source of income of my own, the responsibility to provide for all of the household and personal needs has always fallen on my husband. All of my transfers preceding the last four months were always channelled on different development projects, but in the past few months, we decided to take a break and have a strategic plan to a new one before we start saving again. During that time, there was a very big difference in my daily life because I could support my husband with the household financial requirements which also gave him quite a breather.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
We do not have much plans for the money for the remaining period that we will be receiving the transfers other than buying a cow as an investment. My only wish is that we stay true to the plan and be disciplined with the savings so that we can achieve the goal before the project ends and that we will have one more cow in our shed when that time comes.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The past four months have been a lot easier for me as a new mother because I easily managed to buy baby stuff without so much struggle as was experienced in the past. We were also able to weed our maize farm in good time with the help of the labourers that we hired using GD transfers. Without the transfers, we would not have managed to weed the farm because I just recently had a new baby hence could not assist my husband. Previously, we only cultivated a small section of our farm which we could comfortably tend to which eventually led to low harvest, but this season, we cultivated the whole farm which will definitely give us more harvest.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My husband and I have agreed that I need to start a shop business because I need to have something to keep me busy and give me a source of income of my own even after these transfers are over. We will, therefore, combine our transfers so that we can be able to buy the required stock to start off the business then expand it later by adding more stock using the subsequent transfers.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the past four months, my way of dressing has really changed because these transfers have helped me buy new decent dresses which were very rare in the past. When we started receiving these transfers, we had a lot of stuff that we had planned to buy that I could not even save some of my transfers for personal items such as clothes. I did not have any other way of getting money to buy them on my own because I do not have a source of income. Lately, I have been able to spare some of the transfers and spend on personal items such as clothes and shoes. I no longer have to borrow clothes from my neighbours whenever I have a special function to attend because I now have my own.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
With the plans we have of opening a general shop business within the village, I expect to be having a stable business and a stable source of income in the next six months so that I can financially support my husband in providing for my family.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Right now I have new and good clothes. Before the transfers, I used to beg for clothes from my friends whenever I had to go for a journey. This is the reason why I have lost lots of my friends in the village because I was burdening them. They would gossip about me and even mock my husband for failing to provide for me sufficiently. I would have to bear the shame and when I started receiving these transfers, I started buying new clothes every month which has helped from having to beg anymore. Thanks to GD.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to buy another cow. I would want to have as many cows as I can. This is the best investment one can have. I can exchange them for a piece of land so as to have enough farming land. This will help me provide for my family well when I get a good harvest.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have a cow in my home. This has been my dream for the last two years and I have not managed to achieve this because of my low income from my husband. I do not have any source of income and wholly depend on my husband for everything. His income from the motorcycle business has not been much even to feed the family. I know with this cow, it will produce milk and I will sell part of the milk to get a small income to help me buy food for my family. I will be able to sell it or its calf to raise money for school fees and other urgent faincial matters.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I would want to save to ensure I pay school fees for my children. I would not want them to be sent home every now and again because of school fees. I want to realize a difference in my life by using the little I get from GD.
