Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that my three roomed house is almost complete. I was sleeping in a grass thatched house before but now my life will be very comfortable. I can now dress decently and my standard of living has improved a lot. I did not have good cooking utensils before, but now I am happy that I have neat utensils for cooking. All these have been possible because of GD.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I became very happy and relieved because I knew my life was never going to be the same again.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought timber worth 350,000 ugx and I bought iron sheets worth 100,000 ugx. I also bought nails worth 20,000 ugx and cement worth 600,000 ugx. I also bought some household items like a bed worth 50,000 ugx and two mattresses worth 60,000 ugx. I bought sofa set worth 300,000 ugx and bed sheets worth 200,000 ugx. I also bought utensils worth 100,000 ugx and I spent 30,000 ugx on the builder's labour. Then I bought three pair of dresses with the balance of the cash transfer.
