My lifestyle has changed drastically. I built a permanent house and bade farewell to thatched house. I had lived in a thatched house for over ten years. It was small and expensive to maintain. I àm happy and lucky to have been sent the cash transfer.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the money was my happiest moment ever. I had a lot of thoughts and needs. My heart was filled with joy at that moment.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I purchased iron sheets worth UGX 246000 and a metallic door worth UGX 200000 and two windows worth UGX 160000. I bought bricks worth UGX 510000. I paid the builders UGX 150000. I am planning to purchase household items with the rest of the cash transfer.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy a piece of land, build a house and settle with my children. I believe I will be more comfortable in my own home than I am here.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the morning when I wake up healthy. I am able to work for my household.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of money to buy land. I have always wanted to buy land yet I never had the opportunity due to lack of finances. I came back home from marriage but life I not as easy as I expected it to be. The piece of land that is available for use is too small to accommodate the need.
