How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is better because I have cleared the debt. Before, the person who borrowed me the money used to give me a lot of pressure. In addition, I have enough food (maize) for my family. Before we used to starved.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
To me GiveDirectly has done well by supporting me with money which has enabled me clear debt and Livestock (2 calves). GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer to pay for debt worth UGX 520,000 which had got for school fees, food and Livestock ( 2 calves) worth 600,000, stocked produce ( 3 bags maize) worth UGX 180,000 and bought clothing/household items ( bed, mattress and utensils) worth UGX 332,000

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I bought a cow that will produce with time and my household members will enjoy milk. I also sleep on a good bed and my bull will help me in ploughing my gardens.

The moment I received the transfer I felt so happy and I ululated.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on purchase of 1 cow, 1 bulls and household item ( bed, mattress, kitchen utensils).

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Iam excited because i will buy my cows that will help in ploughing our gardens.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When i see my children healthy and playing happily.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Hardship in eating. We have small pieces of land that dont yield enough food for our family. So this makes us sometimes skip meals.
