How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, I have a new goal for this last transfer I received. Using all of my transfers only on building a single house will not help me. The house I previously planned to build will cost more than the total amount of money I have received from GiveDirectly. So, I have changed my mind to buy a second handed motorcycle for business purposes. I will save the profits, that will help me sustain my family and I and even help to complete my house in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done lots of good things for me by giving me money to be able to sustain my family and I. I have not heard anything wrong that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I added some money to my last transfer I received and I bought a second handed motorcycle for business.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt good because I wanted to start a business that will enable me to save some money to fund my son's education. His name is Ousman Johnson and he's one year old. I believe if I have a good business, I will save money to educate him when he's ready to go to school. The money I received from Give Directly will help me to do just that.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I had some plans for a certain thing and that's my son's education but I did not have the money to make it happen. So the money I received from Give Directly will help me to fulfill my plans.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought some food and saved the rest of the money to educate my son Ousman Johnson when he reaches school going age.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My husband is currently unemployed. Life hasn't been easy for us. We make living through hard struggle. When we receive this money, we will invest fish in business since it is a profitable market in Gebeni town.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The news about this money has brought me the most happiness. I have never seen an NGO to give me money to help myself. Other NGO lie to us but GD have gone to the extent of giving me phone. So I'm confident that the money will be sent. Additional, the money will help me and my family to establish a business to make life easier.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Our most pressing challenge is to get food for the family. The rainy season have made farming and burning coal a difficult process. Because farming and burning coal are our primary source of income, our house often go without food for days.
