How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed for the better because this transfer has enabled me construct an iron roofed house. Before, my greatest challenge was renovating my hut, at my old age I moved to swampy places looking for grass.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me cash that I used to construct an iron roofed house. GiveDirectly has not done any thing bad on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase bricks, timber, iron sheets, a door, nails, paid construction labour and bought food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have been in position to get back my garden that was taken as security for the money I got for my operation and I'm also sleeping on a mattress now days unlike before when I used to sleep on a mat.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I became very happy because I thought Give Directly will not keep its word.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for paying a debt of UGX 800,000 that I had and I was able to get back my garden, I also bought household items plus clothes for my self and spouse, a goat and remaining money I spent on buying food.

Receiving this money means investing in farming. This money will enable our household buy land to sustain us through extensive farming.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Afternoon time is my happiest part of the day.This is the time, children at my neighbourhood visit us.These children are very funny and this makes me happy every time they visit.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship comes as a result of frequent illness caused by the way, i was poorly operated at the hospital.This has affected the level of my productivity.
