How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Thanks to Givedirectly for the constant financial empowerment. I have decided to buy cartoons of assorted zinc nails to start building my house. I used my previous transfers to buy two bundles and 10 sheets of zinc . Since birth ,I have been living in my brother house. My wife and I separated some years back. Life has been difficult for me until Givedirectly intervention. It is through Givedirectly cash supports that I am currently building my own house.

Givedirectly is a transparent Organization. Givedirectly staffs do not make false promise. Givedirectly offered freed cash to everyone in this village. Thanks to Givedirectly for empowering me financially. There is no system in Givedirectly that needs improvement.

I used my recent transfer to buy two cartoons of assorted zinc nails. I am saving the balance money to hire cashual workers who will start building my new house. I want to build three bed rooms house in this village. Thanks to Givedirectly for empowering me financially. I believe that with my transfer from Givedirectly, I will soon move from my brother house to live in my own house.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No, I don't have any new goal for now. Just the previous plan of building a new house for myself. I planted of rebuilding my house since it was down by the War. I never had the opportunity to rebuild the way it was. I temporarily built a small house to live in until I raised money to build a bigger one. Luckily for me, I got on this program. Many thanks to GiveDirectly for helping me to help myself.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I'm thankful to GiveDirectly for the level of help she has done for me and my family. I'm now living a proud and independent life. GiveDirectly will surely be missed by us because of the numerous good that has been done. Nothing bad GiveDirectly has done.

I used part of my money to buy one additional bundle of zinc for my proposed two bed room apartment, I bought one matress and some house hold materials for the house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was at my house preparing for a meeting when my phone alarm. After reading the massage, I became happy to received such amount of money. Things have been hard for me over the past time. With this program my life will change to better.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I been living by cutting palm and fishing. I couldn't barely feed my family two square meal a day. I have had a very hard labor since I was a youth up to present.I am a very poor man seeking for help. God answer my prayers by sending Give Directly to help heal my poverty. I am overwhelmed to be a part of this program. I believe before the end of this program, my life will change. With the first transfer, things are improving already.

The money I received from Give Directly, I used some portion of it to buy two bundle of zinc. I also used some of the money to buy food and some clothes. The balance money is kept to add to my second transfer to build my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My house broke down and I'm currently living in my little brother's house. When I receive this cash transfer, I will use it to build a home for myself.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I was happy when I got a phone call from my ex-wife telling me that my son won a dancing competition in Buchanan. I felt tge proud he brought to me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My current challenge is lack of finance. I want to build my own house and stop living in my little brother's house. Moreover, my children are going to school and I need to support them but I have not enough money to do that.
