How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was because I managed to buy a lot of things I could not afford had it not been for the transfers. I bought a water tank which has been helping me to trap rainwater and store to use during dry seasons. I also bought a solar panel which has been helping me with lighting at night and even charging my mobile phone. I used to spend a lot of money buying kerosene which was costly since I do not have any source of income because I am too old to work.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy new chairs. The ones I am currently having are old and have broken arms, legs and torn cushions. I would like my house to look neater and presentable so that I won't feel ashamed of hosting guests in my home.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is to build a new kitchen. I used to have a kitchen but its roof was blown away by the wind sometimes. This forced me to be cooking in the open air within my compound. I would experience difficulties in cooking in rainy and windy days and sometimes would end up not cooking at well when the conditions were too harsh. I am happy I can now cook with much comfort in my new kitchen.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have plastered my main house and the kitchen. My house is not in good condition because it has holes on the floors. Having it plastered will make it look better and reduce the dust that always generates from the floor. This will also reduce its chances of harbouring harmful insects such as jiggers.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life, is the constant ailments. I have been seriously struggling to meet my medical cost since I am elderly, and unable to take part in any income generating activity.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day, is mostly late in the afternoon when my immediate neighbor visits me and we share our life experiences. She always encourages and assures me that she cares for me and she feels comfortable and at peace whenever she visits and finds out that I am doing well.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend a portion of my transfer to cement my kitchen which is in a bad condition. I shall also spend the rest of my transfer on food as well as meeting my medication cost since I am elderly and I always fall sick.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of in life, was educating my two daughters to college level. Their academic excellence and qualifications enabled them to secure decent jobs in the government sector.
