How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different than it would have been supposing I never received my transfers in that I spent my transfers to meet medication of my child who is currently doing well. Secondly, I have succeeded in building a new house and I do not need to rent a house in the center anymore. Consequently, I live peacefully and less stressed in my own home.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in supporting the neediest members of the society by giving them the unconditional cash transfer. As a matter of facts, those who were enrolled in the program have currently registered a positive transformation in their lifestyle. There is nothing that GiveDirectly does not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on buying iron sheets, timber, and nails for building a new house. I had previously used my first transfer to buy a piece of land in which I had purposed to build my home since I did not have even my own house. The situation of lacking a house had forced my husband and me to rent a small house in the nearby center although we were occasionally struggling to raise the rate. Being enrolled in GiveDirecrly's program was an answered prayer in my life. I now happily lives in my own compound.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will finally be able to go back home and construct my own house since I am currently living in a rental house. With the remaining balance, I will start a shop keeping business so that I can have a more reliable source of income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I meet with my friends in the market place when I go to buy some household items. Talking to them and sharing our life's experiences makes me happy because we get to encourage one another and even contribute to help out one of us who is in dire need.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am facing is not having a stable source of income to rely on.Currently, my husband is the only bread winner and his earning is hardly sufficient to sustain all of our family's needs more so feeding, paying school fees and the rent. It hurts me so much when my children are sent back home from school because of fee arrears and even when I am unable to provide for them enough food of different varieties simply because I don't have the means to afford it.
