Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My initial goal was to construct a more spacious house so that my family could live comfortably which I am happy that has been possible. The house is made of mud which perfectly hosts termites that might destroy the poles supporting the house and weaken it after only a few years. To avoid this, I want to try the best I can to plaster the house as soon as possible.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before we received the transfers, my family lived in a very tiny house that was in a very dilapidated state. This is because my husband who should be responsible for providing a better housing for his family is too old to work or earn any money that would facilitate such. So when I received the transfers, all I could think of was to construct a better house which I managed to achieve. The house is specius enough and have extra bedrooms for my younger children while the older ones can now sleep in the tiny one that we had before. Having a better house has taken a huge shame away from my family which used to be mocked about our living conditions because we all squeezed in that house despite some of my children being old enough not to be sleeping under the same roof as their parents according to our tradition. Now we are living in a better environment and I am not afraid to be around a group of people from our village for fear of people talking ill about my state because I am now just like them.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I have achieved one of the biggest dreams I have had for a very long time of constructing a better house, which I really thank Give Directly for the support that made it possible. This itself has already changed my life because I was in a very bad condition before the project, but I would wish to plaster the house entirely to make it more durable and safe from termites and also save me from constant smearing.

Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to improve my method of food production and make it more effective, since I bought a bull already, and we will buy a second bull once my husband gets his money, so that we can grow enough food for the family and sell the excess.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different in that I can plan a few projects.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have plastered my house to make it more durable.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of a sustainable source of income. This means that at times I am unable to pay school fees for my children and they have to stay at home which really depresses me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when my children come home from school. I usually sit in the kitchen with them as I prepare their supper and the tales they tell me often make me very happy.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy two oxen and a plough. These will help me when I am tilling my farm because manually digging up the farm is taking a toll on my health.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is always being a hard worker. I usually do odd jobs in people's farms and from my efforts I have been able to pay school fees for my children.
