The biggest difference in my daily is that I have built a decent spacious house. We lived in a small house as a family and our comfort was slowly wearing out because of the size of our house. My children didn't have a good place to carry on their private studies due to a lot of disturbances. My resources are limited thus meeting family daily basic is too overwhelming to remain with some to build a house. Currently, my children have a good place to sleep and to do their private studies without any disturbances. I no longer shy away when I have visitors because I have a decent house and enough space to host them unlike before. I am so much grateful for the support from GiveDirectly because it has greatly changed my family living standards.

In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well in uplifting our lives which were miserable before enrollment. I do not see anything that GiveDirectly does not do well. We were well informed about GiveDirectly's intention in our community and they proved it through their operation. Nothing went against what we were told thus I have all to thank GiveDirectly and urge them to continue supporting the needy.

I spent my entire transfer to build a new house since I had been living in a small house that could not comfortably host my family. I thank GiveDirectly for fulfilling my long time dream that I wouldn't on my own. I depend on subsistence farming and casual jobs thus saving money to build a house had been challenging. I used a smaller part on my6 household daily basic needs mainly on our food.

Currently what has happened in my life is so great that I consider everything a blessing. Looking at my current projects, everything is good enough to put a smile on every member of the family's face. The biggest difference so far is the construction of a new house, larger than the only kitchen we have been living in. This to us means a better space, cleaners floors and even an organized house in the next few weeks in our household.

At the moment I received the money from GiveDirectly, I really became happy and thank God for that amazing surprise in our household. I had to wake my children up that earlier to celebrate what had come to our household since we have been on a wait over it after we were enrolled. We thanked God for the promise kept and in my heart, I promised myself to do the best to ensure that all plans in the path of expenses will be wisely chosen.

After the joyful receipt of the first transfer from GiveDirectly, we laid down the strategies on how to spend them based on our priorities as a household. Construction of a new house came first in our list and we had to purchase 29 iron sheets, woods which we had to log and later cut to obtain timber, nails and other construction materials which cost us a total of 32000 KES. We also bought enough foodstuff to take us for the next two months before receiving the second transfer, brand new clothing for every member of the household - which really brought a different image in our household, farm inputs after a decision to rejuvenate our agricultural production and ensure low cost of expenses when it comes to household foodstuff, and finally saved the remaining amount to gather for any other arising need in the process of construction.
