Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months I have a new goal to start a maize milling business in our village. I am planning to obtain a machine which will really serve the needs of the immediate villages who have been travelling distances to find one. This business will also be running alongside the one I am currently doing though it has net been doing that well. I have been selling maize in the nearby center and I am still finding enough finances in order to revive it into its original state.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Changes have been witnessed in many sections in our household after receiving the first and the second transfers. The biggest difference in my daily life is the complete payment of school fees for my three children in colleges. Initially, it was really hard managing them all and I would work all day in thew casual labor to earn both school fees and also some money to gather for the daily household budget. I am thankful to GiveDirectly which came and turn things around and currently our children are schooling well without any disturbance.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect to have revived my small maize-selling business. This business has been so helpful to me since it has been serving all the household requirements.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in life is when I almost failed to pay School fees for my children. In the year 2012, my maize plantation was infested by armyworms and thus reduced the production yet we depend on it to cater for family's needs. Through that I was unable to pay School fees and meet my family's needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up healthy and the rest of the family members are also healthy and happy.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer to build a new house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The greatest achievement I am proudest of is the fact that I have managed to educate all my children. The fruits of my efforts in my small business (Buying and selling maize) enabled me to pay School fees for them through Secondary School to tertiary level.
