How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is entirely different now. My business was failing and I had no capacity to revamp it. Yet now with the program I suddenly have more machinery and already getting more customers. From this I believe I will take better care of my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In all honesty Give Directly is very articulate about it's program. We got really great insight from your field officers and sensed no jealousy. I personally have not heard and complaints from those taking part in the program. And this act of charity is certainly something the organization does well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
As with the first transfer, I also used the second transfer to buy more sewing machines. I bought one electronic big Singer brand sewing machine and a manual sewing machine. I have since placed all of these in my tailoring shop and I am already reaping the benefits, my shop is the busiest and I can showcase much more skill because of the variety of sewing machines that I have.
