Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
i was very happy and filled with so much joy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I used to get tired of walking long distances but now i just get my bike and go whenever i want and in most years January is usually a hard month for my family as we have to do piece works just to find food but now we can afford food.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
i have spent the transfer on bicycle , food, clothes , fertiliser and kitchen untensils such as pots, plates and cups.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means the finalization of our project in building a house. Now we need to do plastering, floor and window, door frames. Since transport is also a problem in my village,we will also purchase a bicycle to ease transport problems. We shall also buy fertilizer in order to increase our farming capacity and harvest since our yield is always minimal most of the times.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy in the morning when I get to prepare breakfast for my husband and kids. This gives me joy knowing the tone for the day is a happy one rather than missing breakfast because we have nothing in the house.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Food insecurity is always a problem for us. We struggle to have food all year around from the yields and we depend on casual labour most of the times to supplement our source of income but since piece works are scarce we stay hungry in other days.
