What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to pay my daughter in collage fee. I also expanded my hotel business with the rest of the transfer.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that my child who has been home for long because I could not afford paying her fee is now in collage and I believe she will uplift the rest of her sibling. Besides, my hotel business is absolutely doing good enough to earn my family a better life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it give us free money and we invest it without any hurry of repaying it back. At the moment, I'm not sure of what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my second transfer on paying school fees for my two children who are in college and high school 30,000 KES, 10,000 KES respectively . I also restocked my hotel vending business 10,000 KES
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am happy and relieved since GiveDirectly gave me an opportunity of educating my children as one of my children who had completed his high school education had stayed at home without furthering his education for two good years due to lack of money to fund his education and now I can say that I am certain of a brighter future for them. Thanks to GiveDirectly for rescuing me at my last point of hopelessness.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I have plans of boosting my food kiosk business by adding more stocks to be able to attract more customers. I wish to venture into poultry farming and to furnish my house because it's current state is too dusty and not really fit for human health.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
I have managed to offer my children all the basic needs as a single parent ever since my husband passed away, I rarely beg from anyone to ensure that they are on during school sessions.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have two children in high school and sourcing for their school fees has been tough, I have a table banking savings group that I usually take loans from at times to clear their fees and paying back the same is a big headache to me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening when more customers walk to my food kiosk, this gives me hope of going back home loaded.
