How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different in that I'm happy because I was able to give dowry to my in laws and I also bought land and a bull to help in ploughing my land hence my family will have enough food next season.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD did well to give money to all the people who were enrolled and there is nothing bad it has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay for land at UGX 700,000, dowry worth UGX 600,000, Savings at UGX 300,000, and food UGX 32,000.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest differences in my life are; I was able to purchase a cow and other possessions that we never had before. My health is now perfect because I was also able to seek medical attention with the cash transfer.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy and relaxed when I received the money. I jubilated with my spouse that day.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent 570,000 ugx to purchase a cow and I deposited 700,000 ugx on a piece of land that I Intend to possess. I bought a solar panel worth 80,000 ugx and food. I also spent 200,000 ugx of the cash transfer to treat myself.

Receiving this money means I will build a lock up in my plot of land where I will start operating my business from.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when my wife cooks delicious food and dine together as a family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is in adquate income for hiring or acquiring agricultural land. This has affected my crop yields.
