Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My health has greatly improved because the money enabled me get better treatment for diabetes, I now move with my medicine which I keep taking daily. Before receiving the transfer, I lost hope of life because I was ever sick yet I could not afford treatment
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was playing games on my phone at 5:00 when I saw the mobile money message coming. On reading it, I felt so happy. I could not go to withdraw the money on the same day because I needed time to settle my mind having received a lot of money for the first time in life.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
Since I am a diabetic patient, I spent UGX 440,000 of my first transfer for getting treatment. I bought 10 iron sheets at UGX 460,000, a bicycle at UGX 180,000, a mattress at UGX 120,000. I gave my brother UGX 500,000 to invest in the carpentry business which he is doing.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will buy oxen that will support my household to start large scale crop cultivation in order to improve on household earnings. Large scale farming will enhance large investments within my household and besides, the oxen will be appreciating in value which all comes back to add value to the household.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is from 10:00am on wards when I have woken up in a fair condition. I am sickly and waking up in good health is miraculous to me and tHAt makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face in my life is some chronic illness that has weakend me and renderd me helpless. I have not been able to acquire adequate treatment because of lack of funds to support pay for medical bills. The little money I receive from small scale farming is not sufficient enough to support household needs hence increased vulnerability.
