How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is very different than it would have been if I did not receive the cash transfer because without the transfer I would have not managed to build my new house , meaning my family and I would still be living uncomfortably in a small house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly is doing well by directly sending the cash transfers to our phones and not using any other channels like the government or the chiefs . This is very good because everyone is enrolled in the program and the is no discrimination . Givedirectly is doing very well in helping the poor and I have not found any problems with GD this far.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I Have spent my transfer from GD to build a new house for me and my family. Before receiving the cash transfer my house was very small and did not have a proper iron sheet roof,I was not satisfied with the house but had no choice but to live in it since I had no money to build a better one. The new house I have build has an iron sheet roof and has four rooms. This means that my children will have comfortable rooms to sleep in and we will also have spare rooms to keep some of our belongs. I am very grateful.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am so happy to be receiving this money from Givedirectly. I have never received such an amount of money in all my life. I will use this money to buy food and a descent sleeping place for my family and I.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am the happiest when I have food and money in my home
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Most of the times, I have problems to find food and clothes to dress my children. It is a huge a struggle for all of us to eat and dress
