Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My family is now more relaxed the because the pressure of paying school fees has been greatly reduced. We can now fully concentrate on providing quality meals for our children and investing in order to enlarge our business.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope to own more livestock because I am planning to spend most of my next transfer on purchasing more sheep and goats. These we be a financial security especially when we have problems paying our children's school fees in future.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is already different as I will soon move in to the class and status that I should be in the community. My husband is too old to be living in his parent's compound, when we move out,we will be accorded the respect that we deserve.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I did not have the plans of moving into my own compound in the near future because we could not afford to purchase the materials and provide for our family at the same time. With these transfers, that will happen as soon as the next transfer arrives.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I have fended for my family and we share a meal however little it is.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfers on buying household assets such as chairs, table and beddings, educating my school going children and buying a dairy cow to improve my family's diet.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is the bumper harvest of eight bags of maize from my small piece of land two years ago. This improved food security for my family during famine.
