How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because I managed to pay school fee for my grandchildren with ease and now they are in school learning very comfortably like other students. I no longer repair my house as I used to do frequently which was very expensive.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to start saving from my business of selling vegetable and also to sell some of my poultry to get money to plaster the remaining inner part of the house which I have not managed to plaster.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that l was able to pay school fee for my grandchildren with ease as compared to before when I had to borrow money from my relatives to pay their fee. I no longer take too much time, to repair the wall of my house because it is now plastered as compared to before when I had to do frequent repair more so during rainy seasons.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect to have saved enough money and bought plastering materials and plastered the whole house and staying in a comfortably house.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Ever since my husband died, I have been living a grass-thatched house and I have been looking forward to have an iron roofed house. Due to my low income, I have not been able to get one until Give Directly came to my life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I would want to plaster my house so that it may be durable.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am living in an iron-roofed house unlike before when I used to have a grass-thatched house, I now have a sheep which will help me when I am in need and since I received this transfer, I have been eating well and balanced diet.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
Currently, my new goal is to buy a cow as an investment.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing is lack of income to educate my grandchildren who are orphaned, as they frequently stay at home due to lack of school fees while their peers are at school learning.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when my grandchildren have woken up in good health and I am able to see them off to school.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfers on building a new and spacious house, and the remaining amount on reviving my cereal business which collapsed due to lack of money.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is the sheep which I bought from my own saving. Through it, I managed to buy a dairy cow.
