How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than if I had not received this cash transfer in that I now have a pit latrine which has improved on hygiene and sanitation in my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done well by giving unconditional cash transfer which has empowered the poor. Give Directly needs to give top ups in order to complete the projects started.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second cash transfer worth 1,633,000ugx, paying tuition for 300,000ugx, I bought building materials for the out latrine like bricks, send, timber, iron sheets worth 939,000ugx. I paid a debt of 300,000ugx for cement that I had got on credit. The balance of 93,500ugx, I used for paying for labour.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I'm now able to pay my children's schools fees on time unlike before, they would be told to come back home because of school fees.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, i was very happy and I told my wife as soon as I saw the mobile money message on my phone.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to build a pit latrine which is under construction and I paid 300,000ugx for my children's school fees.
