Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was happy in the sense that since my house broke down I have not had the opportunity to rebuild my house as old as I am and GD send me money to help myself. This reminds me when my boys children were living how they were used to care for me. So when I got the money, I shared tears and I began to think about my son how some time unexpectedly, my money and households items can come to me.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I was living with my boys children who were used to support me. But all of them died and now there is no support. I want to say thank you to GD for helping me to be like before.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My house now is not in any good condition again. Since then, I have not had money to renovate the house because of lack of helping hands from any one again.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"What I plan to do with my cash transfer is to build my own house, because where I'm residing now is owned by my brother-in-law; I had my own house in time pass but it got bursted up and broken down by the heavy down pull of rain, since this diseaster occurred, I've been in my brother-in-law's house, now, due to I and my husband's ages we aren't able to do hard work to earn, the little bush work my husband can do earns him just little to feed his two wives, I and my mate, and there is nothing much that can leave for my project plan."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"What had made me happy in the last six months is, sometimes back, my elder daughter from Monrovia sent me bag of rice and soup kinds, these presents were very timely, that brought me so much excitement."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"The challenges I'm currently facing are, to build my own house, and to be fed, there is nothing much earned in this bush, I and my husband are aging, so there is reduction of hard work that we do, and because of the less work we do we don't earn much, when he cuts his sticks and burns his charcoal/fire coal, he sells it, the cash he gets from selling the coal is what he uses to feed both homes."
