Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
the moment i received my transfer i was very happy knowing that my house will be improved and i will be able to provide enough food for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
my house was in a very bad state, when i received my transfer i thought of improving it by cementing the floor and buying glasses for the windows. i also improved the door as it was in a very bad state. currently my house is improved , we are living in a well cemented house and am assured of security as compared to the past.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
when i received my first transfer i bought materials to improve my house because my house was in a very bad state. secondly i bought food for my family because we rarely had enough food at home. the remaining amount was used to buy mattress and other basic needs.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money will help us buy some maize for food as we are starving. The money will help me buy irons sheets for my house which badly leaks

In the morning when I go to work in my garden especially during this rainy bseason
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have many children to support and I am failing to provide for them as I depend on casual labour for survival and its not always easy to find piece work
