What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I plastered my main house with sand and cement at a total cost of 39000 KES and spent the rest on a donkey. This money has really helped me and I am now proud that the donkey will now help me ferry loads of items in the village.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The transfer really changed my life. Initially, I lived in an earthed house which was very dusty-most of the time, I had to maintain it with smearing which was such a daunting task. But now, I am glad that cementing this house has solved the problem- I live in a better environment. Besides, I can now ferry water far distances for people in the village to get an additional income. This is how my life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what Give Directly, does well is that it sends us money directly in our phones-we don't need to walk to the banks to withdraw. However, I would urge it considers giving more money to the recipients. We are still aspiring higher!
