How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is that l managed to pay for my brothers school fee with ease and this saved them from dropping out of school since one was even able to complete his secondary school without any arrears. Because of give directly I now have my own cow that I had never thought of owning in my life. I am very sure in future I will not spend money in buy milk as I am currently spending because I will be milking f my dairy cow that I bought using give directly's money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly did a very good thing by training people. They are also gave money to right people.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the whole of the transfer to pay school fee and college fee arrears for my three brothers. I was able to pay school fee for my brothers who was almost dropping out of school because of the luck of money, after our parents who was paying their school fee pass on. I had to take charge as a first born although i did nit have any stable source of income. I am very happy because my brothers were able to go back to school and one managed to do his final exams after I had spent the money to pay fir them fee and he did his final examination which he passed very well. I am very grateful to give directly because without them my brothers could have dropped out of school.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the feeling of being free from financial challenges. Clearing the school fee is a great relief and I'm happy I haven't carried forward any school fees to be paid for next year. This means I won't strain next year raising school for the siblings.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Being that my phone is always on and I normally wake up very early, I was pleased to receive a confirmation message that I had received money from GiveDirectly very early in the morning. This was a sign of good luck, I woke my spouse up to the good news, and she was happy with smiles all over her face.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I'm an orphan and being the firstborn in a family of 6, I have the responsibility of taking care of my siblings. Three of the siblings who are both in college and secondary school had not cleared their school fee, so I used part of the money to clear the school fee balance they owed the school so that next year I won't have a lot of fees to pay. A portion of the money I spent on boosting our retail business by adding a variety of commodities that I wasn't stocking before but most customers needed them. I'm happy the business has picked well and it's earning me a good income.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means financial breakthrough in my family. I would like to spend the transfer on paying school fees for my siblings who are orphans. This will enable them acquire relevant skills that are needed in the job market.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I get involved in some casual work. This is the main source of income that enables me to provide for my siblings who are orphans.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing in life is unreliable source of income. I lack money to invest in some business that would improve my financial flow. This make me vulnerable and totally dependent on casual labor that pays very little.
