Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I make charcoal to sustain my family and educate my children. I was overwhelmed with so much joy receiving this money from Givedirectly. Now I can register my kids in school and start a little business to take care of my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been burning charcoal to survive and was hoping that things get better soon. I even got an old motor bike for work and pay which could help to pay my kids school fees but I got sick and the owner took his bike away. The transfer give directly send me has improved my living condition. My kids are in school and I have enough for food. I even intend to start a business soon with my remaining transfer.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive the transfer I intend to pay my first son tuition fees,he's presently in the 3rd grade .He dropped from school 1 year ago because there was no money to pay his tuition fees. And the Charcoal business I'm doing didn't produced well due to the heavy rain.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What make me happy in the last six months has been when my sister give a half bag of rice that I didn't pay money for. That makes me happy and feel better because at that time there was no rice in my house and I didn't have money to buy rice
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
One of the major challenges is getting money to cater to the family and at the same time take care of tuition fees.Even though I'm engaged in producing charcoal to sell, but the business profit is not enough to take care of basic needs as well as tuition fees.
