How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My first goal was to build a house and I have achieved it, my new goal is to raise money to continue supporting my four children in school. I will continue doing the work I know that is making charcoal for sale so that I can achieve this goal, I know it is a long-term goal but will be achieved someday.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by using the mobile money system to reach out to us directly, I also love their manner of approach to us throughout the program, it shows us much love and respect; I have not yet identified anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well, all is okay with me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy a solar panel and other electrical materials for my house, I am comfortable and happy with those materials because they lighten up my house and entertain me.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal was to pay my two children school fees and plastering of my house before receiving the second cash transfer from Givedrectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
My house needed renovation, and I also needed to pay my children school fees before Givedrectly came to my village and register me for cash benefit. When I started receiving transfer from Givedrectly, I paid my children school fees and bought six bags of cement for plastering of my house. Givedrectly is doing well by helping the needed. However, Givedrectly didn't register Some people that were not present during the registration process and those people didn't receive transfer from Givedrectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Since the registration, I was doubting that these guys were just lying to us. So, when I did receive the message, I asked God first to forgive me. I became more than happy, because I couldn't believe that these guys were telling us the truth about the program.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before this money could come, I was used to burnt coal and look for kissmeat in the swam for sale for small money. I was doing hard labour work everyday just to survive living. But, now I am not selling kissmeat again. I am no longer stressful, just to find food for the day.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this transfer, I will complete my house. I started building this house since 2005 and because of lack of funds, I couldn't complete it.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought me happiness is when I carried my Kiss meat to the market to sell and they bought all from me. The money from the sale has been sustaining us so far.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Getting food foe me and my family. We usually fix fufu and carry to the market and sell but now, it's hard to find buyers and even if you find some, they will buy it from you at a very low price.
