How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now than before in that I own a business that is helping me to sustain my family. My children go to school on time, feeding is up-to-date, I am able to do what ever i want at any given time.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion givedirectly has done well by giving me money that has helped in improving my lifestyle. However,givedirectly has done nothing bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy a cow as a means of investing. I also got back my land that I had given out in exchange of money some time back. I bought food like sack of posho and casava.This will help me curb the issue of famine in my family. I am using the balance for business for buying and selling livestock. This will be a source of income generation.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest differnece in my daily life is that, life is less stressful because it was difficult to get food. Before, I used to struggle to feed my household.

The moment I received my first cash transfer, I felt so happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first cash transfer worth 1,700,000ugx, I bought a cow at 700,000ugx, paid school fees worth 50,000ugx, I then bought household items like beddings worth 305,000ugx. I also acquired clothes worth 180,000ugx. I have bought food worth 60,000ugx, I paid a debt of 200,000ugx. The balance of 205,000ugx, I intend to buy food for the family.

When i receive this money, i will buy some household items and buy some livestock.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my is when i wake up and there is some money in the house. This lives me sure that my family will not starve.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is the hardship in paying medical bills. When my children get sick, i usually lack what to sell to get money to pay the bills.
