How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I'm feelings so happy that most of my problems have been solved by Give Directly. I never had most household items, Groundnuts, Livestock among other things. I initially used to hire oxen for ploughing and I could miss out on the first rains since everyone is busy on their farms. Since I have acquired my own oxen, I will not be faced with the challenge of farming.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly did so well to support me in different ways because I'm a widow leaving in extreme poverty whose spouse died long time ago and so is my son too who could have been of help to me. So when I received my transfers, I hired farmland for two years which I will farm on for that period of time, I have also bought livestock, households items and completed the plastering and flooring of my house. However, in my opinion Give Directly did so well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my last transfer as follows, I bought household items at Ugx 423000, Groundnuts Ugx 200000, Livestock Ugx 900000 and A Solar system at Ugx 110000.
