How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I had been a business man for long but I had never received such an amount of money before. I am happy for the support that GiveDirectly has given me. My wife and I are growing and less energetic for active daily chores. The biggest difference in my daily is the efforts that GiveDirectly has given me to buy a water tank at my age. I currently enjoy clean water my doorstep and we are relaxed no hardwork for aging wife to go fetch water. I feel so proud and GiveDirectly for the financial support.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has been fair and transparent in their operations. In my opinion, they are there to help the needy and they have proven it. I thank them and urge them to continue with the same spirit.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I gave KES30000 to support my grand children education. I currently doesn't have big needs to cater for like my children who are currently struggle to pay fee for their kids. I made a decision to support so that in future my grand children can enjoy a better live I spent the remaining amount on my family needs; clothing, food and other daily household needs.

The happiest part of my day is in the morning when i wake up healthy and ready to engage in the day's activities
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is lack of resourses to cater for my family needs. Due to our old age, my wife and i no longer have strength to work hence we depend fully on our children for our needs. Sometimes we feel like we are being a burden to them.
