How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I have developed a good peace of mind and I am healthy. All these would not have happened had I not received the cash transfers.
More so with the livestock business I am going to start, I expect to earn income and be able to support my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to uplift many poverty striken families.
The cash transfers have for instance empowered me and given me a start up capital for my livestock business. On the otherhand, there is nothing that GiveDirectly has not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I am planning to spend UGX 1,000,000 to start up a livestock buying and selling business and I spent UGX 400,000 to clear debts. The balance of UGX 200,000 I spent on buying food and part of it on constructing another grass thatched house.
